👋 Station is the best workflow improvement I've made recently. I've been a beta tester of Station for the past few months, that's why I am glad to hunt it today! All the places of the Internet where I like to spend time (Twitter, Slack channels, Github, Feedly, GDrive, Dribbble...) were spread among Chrome tabs, Desktop apps, and Menu bar icons. Now, it's all gathered in Station. The "commute" among these places disappeared. Going from a place to another now feels as easy as switching among Slack channels. Give it a try. Cheers!

Edit: We got a lot of questions, so I'm adding the frequently asked ones here: If you have more questions, please share them in the community: https://community.getstation.com/ > Where can I find the installer? On https://getstation.com/ click "Download". No email required. > Cool, but these apps keep all apps open using RAM and CPU. Definitely, but, in Station, we addressed this issue! We idle applications you have not used for some time and pop it again as soon as you need it. That's transparent for the user, but it definitely has a positive impact on RAM and CPU! > Can you expand on what kind of privacy you have for this app? Except few telemetric data that helps in the development of the product, everything stays local. Naturally, all the applications running in Station (Slack, Gmail..) have their own privacy model. You can read more in our privacy policy note: https://station.slite.com/public/share/note/1b648164-63ac-4271-9a69-71af2ab0eedd/Station-Privacy-Policies > Do you support multi-account? Yes we do, just add an app for the second time and it will let you connect it with a second account. > It looks like a very good idea, but I wanted to know what will be the business model before investing time in it? The Station app is free. We are currently testing "Station for teams" with some pilot companies. It includes specific features that will be part of paid plans. > How can I suggest an application to be included in Station's app store? To suggest a new application, you can type the name iof the application n the "app store" search and click "request". > What OS do you support? Mac and Windows. Linux is coming. --- Hi everyone! 👋 First off, big thanks to @ldesserrey for hunting us! 🚀 Station is a free desktop app that centralizes all your work applications in one neat interface. Think of it as a super efficient workspace for all your web tools. We want to give you a snapshot into what we think the future of work will look like & hopefully build it together with you ! ;) We realise we still have a long way to go but our team has been working round the clock on this ambitious product for the past year & we're really excited to hear what you think 🤗 ! We'll be here all day to answer any questions you might have, so ask away! Cheers! 🍻

@al3xstrat great work! Already loving it! Is there a place to vote on new app intergrations? Would love to be able to access Webflow from Station ✌
Alexandre Lachèze

Hey @galimotion we's are adding a form in the Station app-store. In the meanwhile don't hesitate to mention it in the support chat (bottom left chat icon). I noted Webflow!
Boris Berenberg
@al3xstrat Seems really cool, is this another massively growing Electron app where each app takes another 200mb?
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@imatincr definitely a recurring question with this kind of app indeed. But, we addressed that problem. We idle applications you have not used for some time and pop them as soon as you need one of them. That's transparent for the user, but it definitely has an impact on RAM and CPU! So, try it, and let us know how it feels! :)
Boris Berenberg
@al3xstrat Makes perfect sense, similar to what The Great Suspender does. So what happens when I get a notification in an idled Slack?
Boris Berenberg
@al3xstrat Also, can we expect regular Chromium updates? It looks like we're 4 months out of date already. Worries me from a security standpoint. https://imgur.com/0SHXp87
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@imatincr For Slack notifications, we actually put in place exceptions to this rule: for notification-intensive apps (like Slack) we don't put them to sleep. We are working on supporting the Push API [1] that would allow us to kill the interface but keep the notifications popping-up. Some SaaS, like Intercom, use this API already. Regarding Chromium updates, we are now dependent on Electron [2] for this. The awesome electron team (real kudos to them) announced [3] that Electron's Chrome major versions are updated within 1 or 2 weeks after the release of Chrome major version. That being days, when there is a security fix on a Chromium version, the fix is ported to Electron within days. It happened recently. [1]: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Push_API [2]: https://github.com/electron/electron [3]: https://electron.atom.io/docs/tutorial/about/#updating-dependencies
Boris Berenberg
@al3xstrat Thats a great response, thanks for the detail and citations. I hope the Slack team adopts the push API in the near future. Who do we have to mention on here to make it happen :) Though I still wonder how a 1-2 week Electron release cycle turned into 4 months in your app?
Jonathan Tavarez
@ldesserrey @al3xstrat OK so a bunch of us were very excited to try it out and think it's great. Loads apps very quickly and doesnt bog down CPU. The only issue is the following: the same login does not load your apps on another device. For example, I installed it on laptop and spent about 20 minutes adding apps to Station. I went on my Desktop and expected to be able to login and have these apps pre-loaded. Any plans to add this feature soon?
Rob Garrison
I tried it for about 10 minutes before uninstalling. It boiled down to four main issues: 1) I don't see any published security policy; what do you do with my information? What's shared and not shared? 2) It's using an older version of Chrome (v58 if I remember correctly); how is this updated, especially if there is a security issue that needs to be patched? 3) No bookmarks were imported from Chrome. Did I miss an app for it? 4) No Chrome extension support as far as I could see. I know my encounter was brief; and I plan to try it again once I'm satisfied with my concerns and when it fits my use case a bit more.
Alexandre Lachèze

@imatincr Electron release cycle is not perfectly kept. Electron that includes version 59 was released last week and is still in beta.

@ldesserrey @jon_tavarez it's a considered feature, but have not clear visibility of when it'll be available.

@wowmottie 1/ https://intercom.help/station/data-and-privacy 2/ I answered this question in this thread 3/ it's not a current feature 4/ we do support some selected Chrome extensions (Mixmax,..). If you are missing yours, follow this process: https://intercom.help/station/general-questions/how-do-i-request-an-application-that-is-not-yet-in-station
Rob Garrison
@al3xstrat Thanks! That alleviates most of my concerns. Please add a link to https://intercom.help/station on this page for users that have questions before installing this app.
Daniel Thomas Chandra
@al3xstrat installation failed on my win 7 Station.Setup.1.0.6.exe It ask me to check setup.log and contact the author.
Daniel Thomas Chandra
@al3xstrat still no love for Windows 7?
Laurent VB
Station is a life-changer. Spending half my day in it, 5 days a week. The team has been incredibly fast and efficient at hunting down all the small bugs and the performance issues that come with having so many Saas running at the same time (and that was already bringing my Chrome to its knees) Thanks to the team for providing such an improvement into my professional workflow. And congratulations on the design, it's gorgeous.
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
Thanks @laurent_vb and, moreover, thank you for the time you spent perfecting Station with us as a beta-user! :)
JW
@laurent_vb how can i run this on 32bit os with 64bit processor on windows 10?
André de Albuquerque
Which apps does it support? Does this support chat apps, like Franz? Looks great!
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
Hi @andredalbuq 👋 today we support 300+ work applications (including chat apps), and we plan to support even more. For sure, there is already the ones you use every day at work, but if you miss one, let us know, we'll add it!
André de Albuquerque
@al3xstrat my mac is on repair, but be sure to know that as soon as I get it back, his might be the first app I download 😄 do you have a list somewhere where I can check the apps?
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@andredalbuq awesome! Let us know what you think as soon as you had a chance to try! You can find the list of the supported apps in Station app itself, otherwise we put this list here: http://bit.ly/stationapps
Amrith Shanbhag
@andredalbuq this replaced Franz for me tbh.
André de Albuquerque
@amrith @al3xstrat will check this. So this is a all in one app. Very interested.
André de Albuquerque
@al3xstrat Hey! No Facebook Messenger there? That is the only that keeps me from going all in to Station.
Arleys Resco
@al3xstrat @andredalbuq FYI It was just launched.
André de Albuquerque
@al3xstrat @fearlex I have been using it. However it's slower than expected. If i minimize it it takes longer than even huge apps just relaunching
André de Albuquerque
@al3xstrat @fearlex I would like to ask for some apps - important for my professional development. Where can I ask for them? I try to contact people in the station chat area, but no one ever answers.
Arleys Resco
@andredalbuq Same here, i stopped using station in favor of Shift. I tried to find a place where you could request apps or report bugs. I couldn’t find none. The chat on Station Intercom says they will get back to you, but no one never do.
André de Albuquerque
@fearlex Link?
Arleys Resco
@andredalbuq https://intercom.help/station
André de Albuquerque
@fearlex Sorry, Link for shift?
Arleys Resco
@andredalbuq This is my referral link: https://tryshift.com/referral/8387/bf0cdd3a1fa6e8f45b32eebc769e/, It is free but i'm a Advanced paid member, premium includes Grammarly and Boomerang for Gmail, beautiful interface and is super stable. I got tired of trying to contact Station to get their stuff fixed.
Natalie BB Narkprasert
Just updated to the new version - holy cow... duper sexy!! Quick question @Station team: how do I access the quick shortcuts? in Station Home? also, is the Focus mode new? Just noticed, this is gonna step up my work-game!!! 🔥 💪 🚀
Alexandre Lachèze

@stationhq @binbin_natalie_narkprasert thanks, glad you like it! You can find all the keyboard shortcuts via the menu Help > Keyboard Shortcuts. https://imgur.com/a/6U6CH

This is probably the best app I have discovered on Product Hunt in a long-2 time
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@vikasr111 very happy we brought it to Product Hunt then! :)
Gilles Bertaux
We have been early users of Station and it has helped the team on so many levels: - huge gain in productivity - easier onboarding => thanks to the new bundles feature - better workflows Highly recommend it!
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@gillesbertaux thank you Gilles! Colleague's on-boarding, part of the coming "Station for Teams", is our next focus!
Raphaël Chabaud
Good tool to keep your saas tools easily accessible and separate from the clutter of the tab crowd. I use it alongside Franz (which development seems, sadly, to be stopped) as Station doesn't allow the use of personal apps. Here is my use case : Franz is my communication hub. I put - my mailboxes (3 gmail accounts : pro - personal - newsletter&marketing dedicated box) - whatsapp - facebook messenger - linkedin inbox Station is my saas tool hub. Apps I use in it : - Teamleader (our CRM) - Trello - Wunderlist - Confluence (wiki) - Notion - Linkedin (as the website keep bugging in chrome - what a shame-) Apps I keep apart: - Evernote. The web app is way below the desktop app. - Slack. I like to have it apart for quicker access - Calendar. I like to have it apart (I use clean google calendar chrome extension).
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
Yes @raphchabaud, sounds like a good workflow! On my side, I use Station for every professional-related applications, chats included (the notification center helps me focus when I need it) and I use Franz for personal communication. Therefore, I keep work and perso separated.
David Lin
@raphchabaud Nice setup, will take some ideas.
Steve Farrugia
If you have endless Chrome windows filled with tabs that you find impossible to organise, get Station. I went without it after changing companies and fell into that trap again, so had to get back onto Station. Apps I currently use in Station: Gmail Google Drive Google Calendar Google Keep Skype JIRA Asana Prodpad GA Google Optimize Hotjar Pingdom AWS Root Console Pocket Slack Bitbucket Expensify
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@stevefarrugia exactly! 👍
Kishore Bhargava
@stevefarrugia How different is it really to using them in a browser, after all, if they are not tabs, they are items on the sidebar?
Baptiste
@stevefarrugia Hey, can you confirm you're using Skype? I don't see it as an available app! thaks! :)
Sam Christie
@stevefarrugia @kishorebhargava did you ever get an answer to this question? i am also wondering this.
Kishore Bhargava
@stevefarrugia @samchristie Not really. And I am currently not using it either.
Valentin Huang
I've been beta testing Station for a few months now and it has become my exclusive access to the dozen of business apps I use on a daily basis ! It really solves the pain of having tabs opened everywhere and it provides very efficient workflows. Keep up the good work and fast execution guys :)
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
Thank you @vhuang! We'll do! 👍
ProductPearson
Okay I give in. I'll give this a try.
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@theashtube let us know what you think!
ProductPearson
@al3xstrat Few thoughts. I posted another comment on this about Office 365 not working. Also, request support for the following apps, and it will be perfect for me: - SmartSheet - YouTrack - OWA (Outlook Web App) Really pleased it has Todoist support. I will definitely be using this app to streamline my operations day to day, and I look forward to seeing new apps that are being added. Ash
ProductPearson
@al3xstrat Also, notification disappear too quickly for me to even click on them. Can I adjust this? Also, hangouts notifications are not working. People are replying to chats but I am getting no notification about it in Station. Also I messaged within the app on Intercom, and requested the ability to zoom out on some pages, as the font is sometimes very big (like on WhatsApp Web) by default, and I don't want colleagues in my office seeing my messages when they walk behind me :)
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@theashtube Noted for the 3 apps, we let you know when ready! Happy you like it!
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@theashtube : - notifications disappear too quickly: that's weird. On what application in Station? Are you sure it's not a configuration of your OS? We use OS notification system. - hangouts notifications: ok we look into it - Zoom in zoom out should work: have you tried Ctrl/Cmd + (+/-) ?
ProductPearson
@al3xstrat Ah yes, sorry I didn't realize there was that key combo to zoom in and out. That worked, and great to see it's on a per app basis. :) I'm on Windows 7 at the mo. The notification appears on the bottom right in a grey window for about 3 seconds and then disappears. It's not enough time for me to read it and decide whether or not to click on it. :)
Sebastien Nvzt
Seems really interesting! As an Algolia employee, I feel honored to see our logo on your landing page ;)
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@sebastien_nvzt Algolia was among the first apps to be integrated to Station — of course. :)
Haroen Viaene
@al3xstrat super cool! Would be nice to have it updated though 😊 https://www.algolia.com/press#resources
ProductPearson
Office 365 isn't working. The apps open in a new tab/window on Chrome, which I think is the issue. So you log into 365, and can't go any further in the Station app. Any ideas?
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
Oh shott @theashtube ! OK, let us try to solve this. I let you know
ProductPearson
@al3xstrat Thanks - that's my main email app for work, so fixing that one would mean I spend 50% of my day in Station :D
ProductPearson
@al3xstrat I found a workaround. The main buttons on the middle of the page open in a new tab, but if you click the icon in the top left, and choose Mail from there, it opens in the same tab, so it works inside Station. :) Just thought I better let you know that!
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@theashtube thank you! We also pushed a fix in the new version that should improve that! (you'll receive the update notification automatically)
ProductPearson
@al3xstrat Thanks!
Ignaty Nikulin
Quite nice product but it's missing Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp that we also use to communicate between team members and clients :(
Amrith Shanbhag
@ignaty It does have WhatsApp, I'm using it rn ;)
Ignaty Nikulin
@amrith ah yes, stupid me, see it now :) Facebook Messenger would still be nice to have.
Amrith Shanbhag
@ignaty I'm actually happy Facebook isn't really there on the whole, anti-work 😂
Ignaty Nikulin
@amrith well, depends, we do use it for work only purposes :)
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@amrith @ignaty yes, it was a debate in the Station team as well! :) We are adding Facebook messenger soon for the ones using it at work. And indeed, if you use messenger only for personal usage, it's better to keep it outside Station for your focus!
Amrith Shanbhag
I think this is missing something that I use the most. Product Hunt itself 😿 Please add ASAP 🙃
Amrith Shanbhag
@al3xstrat look at the demand, it even comes under "Curation & Sourcing" 🙃
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@amrith sorry, I got lost in the comments. Yes, we'll add it! :)
Amrith Shanbhag
@al3xstrat I still can't see it :/
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@amrith we have not released it yet, probably next week.
Amrith Shanbhag
@al3xstrat Saw the latest update, still not there :/
Adithya Shreshti
I first used Franz, then Manageyum and later moved to WebCatalog and now STATION. What I love about Station? Wonderful UI and support for extensions (especially for Gmail). I would like to know if I can add certain files and folders I frequently access under the Google Drive tab or certain gmail folder that I usually access instead of the 'Home' folder. Is that possible? Kudos to @al3xstrat and team.
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@adithya in Google Drive it's possible, hover over the Drive Icon and in the menu you can see all documents you opened: use the "star" icon to bookmark a file. We haven't it for Gmail yet though, but we have it on our coming feature list.
Arun Sathiya
I entered my email ID on the landing page, and Firefox Quantum crashed for a different reason. When I tried to visit that page again on Google Chrome and tried to download, the website says "{email} is already subscribed to list Station's website subscribers. Click here to update your profile." I am stuck at without being able to download now. This is bad UX.
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
Sorry @arunsathiya to hear that, indeed, sending you the link by email. Sorry
Arun Sathiya
@al3xstrat Got it, Alex! Fix what I had suggested though? Happy to share more information if needed. I am available on email or Twitter.
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
@arunsathiya yes sure!
Nicolas Le Roux
I had the chance to try an early version of Station. The team did a great job and the product is really impressive. Good job guys!
Alexandre Lachèze

Thank you @nico_lrx !
Lee Chapman
This is a great application. My only issue is that when I click to press on one of the apps, the side menu pops out and there is very little or irrelevant information there. A slight niggle, I know but one that I'm constantly facing. Really impressed with the app marketplace and looking forward to more!
Alexandre Lachèze
Maker
Thanks @leefranchap, we are adding more and more apps! Regarding the side menu, we know that's a UI element we need to improve indeed. This iteration is not the perfect one.. but not the last one! We are considering solutions with @welcometothesky Stay tuned!
Lee Chapman
@welcometothesky @al3xstrat Many thanks! Of course it isn't the last one. Keep on growing! May I suggest my HR SaaS, CakeHR? I see you have a few, like BambooHR. If you need to contact directly to work with us, I'm happy to lead that.
