👋 Hi Product Hunt,
I recently quit my job for 1 year to follow my dreams and become an Indie Maker. You can read more here: https://medium.com/@AndreyAzimov/i-quit-my-job-and-i-have-one-year-to-get-to-profitability-6159db01d9c2
Sheet 2 Site is the first project in my 1-year challenge.
💬 The Story of Sheet to Site
When I’m making my previous project https://DarkModeList.com (list of apps that support dark mode) I needed to manage a lot of content about all this app like name, link, image etc.. I didn’t know SQL but I used Google Spreadsheets a lot. So I connected it as a database.
After I thought it maybe would be great to have a tool that will generate you a beautiful website just in a few clicks from Google Spreadsheet.
Now it seems popular to make some lists (collections) of best tools, places, influencers, cryptos, etc. So Sheet 2 Site can help you to generate it easy to test your MVP.

@andreyazimov Love it. Congrats @Andrey
Nice to see this launched finally!
This fits the whole narrative currently of stuff like Airtable, Sheetsu, that uses not databases as the core of apps, but simply user editable spreadsheets.
Also, it lets people that cannot code, build basic prototypes of data-based mini sites.
I see you have basics like sorting? What are the next features you're going to add @andreyazimov? Are you considering paid/premium features for monetization?
@levelsio Thanks, man! Yeah seems now there is some Google Sheet cult!
For next premium features, I want to add the possibility to connect Google Analytics directly from the sheet, add Chat, remove branding and use a custom domain(s).
@andreyazimov @levelsio I'm guessing, just adding custom domain as paid feature, like carrd.co does, would be simplest monetisation
@levelsio @andreyazimov awesome ! Can’t tel you how thankful I am for a product like this. Gives me hope to launch a side project that is much more realistic than alternatives I would have had to use. Top two feature requests from me are custom domain and more robust filters like nomadlist.
I’m currently using it and can’t thank you enough Andrey!
Love the concept! Harnessing the power of spreadsheets to make a simple website is a great idea.
Connecting the spreadsheet with external data sources (via Zapier for example) could even let you make a pretty dynamic website with this tool.
I look forward to getting the opportunity to test it in a future project!
@pbriod yeah man, you can make a mini back end with a spreadsheet. Did you know what you can fetch JSON with a Google Sheet?
Andrey, this is great! I made a "Top 20 Words in English" site to test it: https://www.sheet2site.com/api/?key=1zNEGjiYdRDpCxDNKuIDma4HnpbUZvfJbhS-tsk-pm8I
This is so easy to use that I will want to use it for everything. I feel like I'm walking around with a hammer, looking for a nail 😹
@banada cool example thanks for share :)
Nice launch Andrey!
Curious to see how it develops and how you will earn revenue to reach your $1k /month goal! (for those who hasn't read: https://medium.com/@AndreyAzimov/i-quit-my-job-and-i-have-one-year-to-get-to-profitability-6159db01d9c2 )
@flowen_nl Thanks man!!!!
Another WIP fraternity member. I played with the beta a few times. Excellent product.
What is the next step to get to $1000/MRR?
@dredurr See if this work and if no switch to next :)
Smart leverage! Now with personal domain and a bit more customization, I can imagine people paying for this.
Congrats on the launch @andreyazimov! Nice work and amazing growth to "become a maker". truly inspiring!
Sven van der Zee
Congrats on the launch Andrey, how are you planning to monetize this in the future?
@svenvd_zee maybe some features like custom domain?
@svenvd_zee @andreyazimov I would like to be able to put the resources behind a paywall.
I had a play with this when you first tweeted about it and love the idea. I love using Google Sheets before using more complicated things and this fits that whole concept really. As @levelsio has said it allows non-coders to build data-based mini sites or MVP's.
Would love to see sorting, filters and buttons and then if you could add Zapier integrations then all of a sudden you can build some cool sites :-)
@levelsio @joe_thomsett Thanks!
This is the unexpected product. Now all the fans of the tables will have another reason to use the tables :))
@realrus Haha Yes! Tables 4ever!
Good job! how to custom domain ?
@nurula95 Please write in the chat and I will show you because now it's not obvious :)
Great idea! it can be the first and the last step needed towards $1k/month goal :) Is it possible to add Google Analytics tracking to generated website?
@alex_zhebryakov Thanks, Alex! Probably I need to make more 10 steps like this to achieve the goal :) Latter I want to add a feature that allows adds any custom scripts like intercom, Google Analytics, HotJar, etc.
@andreyazimov Any custom script is great idea. e.g., Wix or Tilda allow you to add only Google Analytics or Yandex Metrica which is not enough for sure. Thumbs up!
@alex_zhebryakov Done! I've just added Integration Google Analytics and Crisp Chat!!!
Congrats on the launch @andreyazimov ! Love that you are enabling non-technical people to build functioning websites.

Congrats on launching, Andrey! I've been using S2S for a couple of months to build out the basics of my website that lists high school hackathons. Andrey had been really helpful in with guiding me through the process, and it's great to see it finally launch on here. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a quick way to get a data-based website started without coding it yourself!
@lamaalrajih thanks for giving a shoot for Sheet2Site at the early stage. Probably you were one of the first users. BTW your site seems working fine? https://www.sheet2site.com/api/?key=1lfHhBASgFUgF2YRZrGRQbXaVbTh2q80rQL897YzCxW0

@andreyazimov I think you're talking about something I sent a while back. You already helped me out with it 😂😂
Antônio Guilherme Ferreira Viggiano
Very nice idea.
By the way, it seems product hunters love google sheets-to-startup products 😂
@aviggiano yes seems sheets are cool!
Great job, as usual @andreyazimov! Keep going and doing great stuff 🤑🤑🤑
@diskevich Will do my best! :)
Congrats with launch!
Love it! Can this integrate with Wordpress? I'm trying to have dynamic data on my website generated by a Google Sheet.
@bryan_blackford thought about it. Can you please share your site?
Congrats on your launch @andreyazimov. It's inspiring to see the progress you're making. 🙌
The product reminds me of the early days of BetaList. It started out as a Tumblr blog, but could just as easily have been a Sheet 2 Site if it had existed then. It seems like a great tool to get something up and running quickly.
I'm curious though to hear more about the long term business model. In case of BetaList I eventually moved away from Tumblr because I outgrew it. As a business owner (whether it's Tumblr or Sheet 2 Site) I think you specifically want to _keep_ growing businesses on your platform. You don't want to lose them the moment they start making money.
What's your view on this? Do you see much use-cases where customers will get value long-term value, and not just leave the moment their site grows into something bigger?
@marckohlbrugge thanks for sharing your story I didn't know that BL started with Tumblr. To be honest I didn't think so long term. And I think if I will have this problem when people will churn after they start making money it will be very cool because this means that they used sheet2site to make money so it means sheet2site original idea to bootstrap MVP is working. So I will think about the solution to this problem when I will have it. For now, I'm more curious to see what specific people will use Sheet2Site to solve their specific problems.
