I’ve always wonder how Google got the IP address 22.214.171.124 and IBM got their 126.96.36.199.
@chiancheng Boom! 188.8.131.52.
@chiancheng Anything can be done with $$$
@bradungar In this case, 184.108.40.206 was held by the non-profit APNIC.
@etc so I nice non-profit donation was provided to APNIC I guess.
@bradungar According to APNIC, it was done with specific caveats for the purpose of research, and requires ongoing audits. https://blog.apnic.net/2018/04/02/apnic-labs-enters-into-a-research-agreement-with-cloudflare/
@chiancheng @bradungar you meant $.$.$.$ 😅
I will try it out because I rather trust Cloudflare than Comcast
How does it compare to opendns.com?
@hellotom 220.127.116.11. is faster https://www.dnsperf.com/#!dns-resolvers. Also, if you're concerned about privacy I would recommend using 18.104.22.168. You can see everything 22.214.171.124 logs, https://developers.cloudflare.com/126.96.36.199/commitment-to-privacy/privacy-policy/privacy-policy/
Great job!! Will surely try it out 😊
Awesome move from Cloudflare here with this new service coming as a natural extension to their powerful network. ✌🏼
Is this legit or will you just replace all images on websites with Nicolas Cage?
@benjam1n Yes, this is 100% legit.

Not a good day to release a product. I just wish it's not an April Fool joke!
@angel54689 It's 100% real, try it out.

@aaranmcguire Yes, already using it!
I'm not sure what makes me trust this in terms of better speed and security. How do I know for sure?
@aaranmcguire I gave it a try it does seem faster but maybe placebo :P
@aaranmcguire @adrian_carolli Good way to try is with ping command (at-least on Linux and Mac)
I see it is slightly faster or at-least comparable to Google DNS and Open DNS at my location (Illinois, US)

@adeekshith Sweet tip!
Can this work with Eero in any way?
@gabriel__lewis Yes, it should do. As long as your network or device allows you to change your DNS address, then you can use 188.8.131.52
@gabriel__lewis Yes, I switched to it on my Eero just now
Has it been blocked by the Great Firewall of China yet? (The true mark of success - :-) )
Amazing. I love Cloudflare, this is a fantastic extension of their core work.
Is it compatible with iOS VPNs and IKEv2?
@antonio_dmya Yes, it'll also work with VPNs.
@aaranmcguire Thanks! Last question: If I manually configure the “2606:4700:4700::1001” for IPv6 under my wifi network on my iPhone does this automatically work for LTE (WiFi-OFF) without loading a VPN profile and am I required to enter the DNS servers for all WiFi networks I connect to?

Tell me it's not an April Fool Joke?!
@mrahmadawais It's not. It's 100% real.
it’s amazing, at the beginning I thought it’s April fool but then I realized that its just blocked by my isp provider, I used VPN to try to give it a try, but I couldn't because the certificate of the website has some issue, hope you gonna fix it soon
@engomarehab If you're still having issues, would you be able to send a traceroute of 184.108.40.206 so we can find out what the issue is?
@aaranmcguire here it's but I did remove last couple numbers from my personal IP address
Traceroute has started…

@aaranmcguire it’s blocked by the ISP but I have no clue though
Is it just me, I am not able to open the URL 22.214.171.124
@sumangal_2311 If you're still having issues, would you be able to send a traceroute of 126.96.36.199 so we can find out what the issue is? -- A lot of ISPs have blocked this IP address, so it may need unblocking.
@aaranmcguire Just got it working, not sure what happened in the meanwhile :) Thanks for your help!
is it for all globe users or only for Asia Pacific region?
@pandu_shree Yes, it's available globally.
@aaranmcguire I've tried to ping to the 188.8.131.52 and it seems slow comparing to my default ISP DNS
I just tried it and ran a bunch of before and after speed tests and there doesn't seem to be much of a difference... I'm on a MacBook using Fios in NYC.
Have been using Cloudflare to speed up my websites for many years, love the product. 184.108.40.206 is really really fast. Even the Google AdWords loads in seconds which normally takes atleast 2-3 mins time :p
April fools just got April rules
Much lower ping than google DNS or my ISP's standard DNS.
