They say the best sales reps are helpful and personal. Drift has been working on helping sales reps become more personal for a while. Now, they're helping sales team become more helpful by automating their support. The Drift team is announcing today the Drift Help Center - a simple and powerful way to automate your support by making beautiful documentation that's easy to create. Best of all, Drift's bot automatically crawls it so you can provide real-time answers to questions over chat. Oh... and it's completely FREE.
Mike
@hnshah @dcancel Is this free for customers that already pay for Drift or free for anyone?
Craig Daniel
@mike_seekwell both! It's included in our free account, bot and all. Plus existing customers can use it too. No increase in price.
Mike
@craigdaniel Awesome, nice work! This looks great. fwiw, I started as a Drift customer because you had a free tier, but left because this feature was missing. I would have stayed if it was there and since I no longer qualify for your free tier, you should see a good bump in conversion rates.
Craig Daniel
@mike_seekwell That's what we like to hear! Why do you no longer qualify for the free tier?
Mike
@craigdaniel We're over the seat and contact limit now. I'm not complaining though, I think your free tier is totally fair.
Francisco Andrés Opazo Caceres
@mike_seekwell @craigdaniel I tried to do that on the site and ask me to upgrade plan to try it?
Dave Safley
@mike_seekwell @craigdaniel Free is always a great thing, however - the other side of it is, how do you make money? Or is this a Free Offering to gain market share then later on add in some type of Revenue Play? - As an early adopter, we will for sure check out your product offering!
Dave Safley
@craigdaniel @mike_seekwell / I just went to the site, I now see their are paid plans, Standard Pro and Enterprise - ok this makes sense / I now see the up sell / We will check out it out!

When the bot suggests the right answer for a question typed into chat (and it shows an article I made), it feels like magic. The interface is so simple, if you have ever made a Medium post, you’ll feel right at home. Its more important than ever these days to get your customer (current and future) to where they want to go faster. We’re moving a whole bunch of website content to Drift Help Center to take advantage of this.

@handythinks shout out Chris Handy

@drift @d_j_murphy @davegerhardt, Your product is crazy. Congratulations. Couple of thoughts if you are doing B2B sales : a) Target SAAS companies who have recently raised funds. They will be willing to spend money on a tool which can help them build their pipeline. b) Target companies who are hiring for "customer success" because if a company is spending money on this vertical, they will be willing to invest in a tool like yours. c) Target SAAS companies who are hiring for "email marketing:. Will be a right fit for you. d) Target SAAS companies who are hiring for "sales".

What a coincidence!! Haha, Literally a few hours ago, I was searching to know if drift have a Help Center just like Intercom. But I couldn't find anything. And now, when I opened Product Hunt, here it is! Lol. Thank you Drift Team. You made my day.

Great release by Drift! from Sales Automation to live chat Automation. Completely loved Onboarding experience of Drift Help. Congrats on Release!
Thiago de Carvalho
@d_j_murphy Congrats! Any examples we can see?
Craig Daniel
@d_j_murphy @thiagoafram We run on our own product. Check out https://help.drift.com/
Robert Gillespie
@d_j_murphy @thiagoafram We have started to add ours in here. We have a lot of content not published live though so you will only see one section. But plenty in there if you want to see it http://swipii.drift.help/
Thiago de Carvalho
@craigdaniel @robert_gillespie Thanks a lot for that! Can it be segmented so whoever's logged in as a user (say in wordpress) sees one thing, and regular visitors see other topics?
Francisco Andrés Opazo Caceres
Why they said that is free, if they charge 500/mo for access to the bot?
Francisco Andrés Opazo Caceres
I just tried to create the help site and show error..http://revogram.drift.help/
Steven Hambleton
@frankopazo The help bot and lead bot offer separate functionality. The lead bot is based on playbooks which contain branching questions for qualification, and display based on parameters, query strings, audience types etc) whereas the help bot is just responding to help enquiries.
Varun Jain
Would anyone consider using this for internal documentation?
Robert Gillespie
@varun_jain you could, just keep the live link you are given private
Rodrigo Reis
Does it support help centers in multiple languages?
Bruno Nascimento
@rodrigoreis22 couldn't find anything about that, but the workaround we're trying now is to have a category for each language.
Robert Gillespie
At Swipii we have been using the Drift Help Centre for over a week now and love it. We urgently needed somewhere to host our brand new products FAQ's and Support content and this came along at the ideal time. Ticked all the boxes for what we needed and solved a lot of potential problems. Provides us with a place to host our content, it looks professional with our branding on it, and it's easy to use for both us when it comes to creating content and the user searching for answers. Can't believe it is free! Highly recommend.

The Knowledgebase/FAQ space we found to be a strange niche. A few good offerings from companies such as Freshdesk and ZenDesk. Coupled with built-in ticket based systems, it made it all a bit heavy in our opinion. No-one seemed to have nailed it. For a quick, great looking knowledgebase system that even integrates with a bot, this looks impressive. Yet another great product from Drift, a fantastic company and a CEO always worth listening to in David Cancel.
