Hey Product Hunt,
Gradient Hunt is a curated collection of beautiful gradients.
📘 The Story
While finishing up another side project (Html Colors), I unexpectedly noticed the popularity of colors and gradients websites. I started this project because I wanted to create a webapp and learn vue.js
Solid colors are useful, but what was missing was a tool that enables non-technical folks to create and use all the beautiful gradients. I wanted to make a website that was so intuitive and easy to use that you can understand it in less than 30 seconds. So Gradient Hunt was born 💥.
🇦🇷 Maker Bio
My name is Franco, I’m a 15 years old kid from Argentina, designer and web developer with a big passion for colors. I developed Gradient Hunt in the last 2 months. I maintain, review gradients, and update Gradient Hunt on a daily basis to showcase the very best of the gradients the users create.😊
Please let us know what you think! I would love to hear your thoughts
@francomaldonado Hey Franco, great product! Quick question: when I download the gradient files are exported as JPEG instead of PNG's.. bug? Also some gradients export files don't match gradient.
@romspax Thank you very much for the nice feedback! Some images didn't match but we just solved that. Now we are working to give everybody the PNG instead of the JPEG. Once again, Thanks for the feedback!
I saw the website, and it seems extremely useful. Really liked the "popular" section, where we'll be able to see top gradients other users liked.
That's an awesome product you got there. Even more meritorious given you are only 15 yers old. Congratulations and keep working like this. 👏
@lucasdantur Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
Hi @benln Thank you very much for hunting our product! We are open to new features and we would love to hear feedback from the community.

I think it works great and wish you the best of luck!
@yoavush Thank you very much Yoav! I am really happy it ended useful for you. Wish you the best of lucks on your project. Yes, it was definitely inspired by colorhunt. We are huge fans of @galgalshir work!

@marsnegrette Thank you very much! Saludos desde Tucumán :)
Useful tool! Seems like an almost identical site design to colorhunt.co though, are you guys affiliated?
@jamesdaly90 Thank you for your kind feedback. We are not affiliated with colorhunt.co but we love @galgalshir work!

Good job Franco & Lucas! I'm always looking for gradient inspiration for many of my projects. So, there's a simple need.
Feedback for you:
Now you've got Product Hunt's attention, don't forget to capture the details of your visitors. These sites can become popular which is great, but you'll need a way to make some money.
Secondly, when you create a gradient you might want to change the HEX field to a be standard format. We don't normally use 8 character HEX codes for entering in colours. Usually 6 characters with opacity, or four numbers 0 to 255. A little work on that field would make it great.
@matt_shelley Thank you for your feedback! I think you are right, we have just placed an email subscribe form. Anyone please feel free to subscribe to receive updates about our product.
About the hex code, it works with normal 6 characters hex codes. However it is set by default with 8. We should probably change it to 6 by default.
We really appreciate your feedback!
Cool work - Conggrat!
@annieluong Thanks! Glad you like it.
Congrats for launching this product at 15 years old, impressive ;-)
I'm wondering why you chose to update the gradient library daily? The risk is to reduce the quality of them over time, don't you think?
Second point, did you also consider to put it on Dribbble? I think you could reach a even higher qualified people there. Thoughts?
@seyz_ Thank you very much for your kind words!
I don't think there is a risk to reduce the quality. We only approve what we consider are the best. If bad gradients are created on a day, we will create new ones. Ultimately we will always look for quality over quantity.
Yes, I would love to put it on Dribbble but unfortunately I don't have an invite so I can't post
Loved colorHunt, this is simple but good tool made with taste.
Good Job again
@mcflydev Glad you like it, Anyways we are not the creators of Color Hunt but we were definitely inspired by its design.
Once again, thank you for your kind feedback!
@francomaldonado No soucy, love your logo by the way.
@mcflydev We love it too! It was created by Ivan Bobrov, check out more of his work here: https://dribbble.com/bigoodis
