@new_user_a05baa1314 They discussed how to dispose of it later in the video. 👍
I love my 10. Didn't see much difference except the bigger one. What else, other than gaming VR features did I miss? The new iWatch is bigger news.
Too much internal stuff to really change the minds of people who didn't buy the iPhone X originally. The iPhone XR, on the other hand, seems like it will be the phone of choice out of the 3 for people looking to make an upgrade. But, the market may surprise me.
@dave_poly It’s no different than any other S release and there have been rumors that this year’s release would be just that. Not sure why people are so surprised.
All I really want is longer battery life. The OLED screen is nice though. 😍
@rrhoover What do you currently have?
@gabriel__lewis I'm still on an iPhone 7. Don't tell anyone.
@rrhoover I kept my iPhone 6 for 3 years, makes the upgrades more exciting, saves you money, and it is better for the environment 🌱
@gabriel__lewis @rrhoover Same here :) I think iOS 12 will make iPhone 7 slower.
@gabriel__lewis @rrhoover @naveenkumar prepare yourself then. iOS 12 is amazing on older devices.
@naveenkumar I’ve just updated to iOS 12 GM, and system works so much faster on my 7. :)
@1337en Thanks. Let me also install 😃
I think I'm ready for a 7" handset. It can be thick and ugly, and look like military hardware -- I just want a 5,000+ mAh battery.
Did they literally call it the iPhone XS? Seems... excessive.
@its_been_brang you deserve a gold star
@its_been_brang @fle_bre two stars for you both: ⭐⭐
No real innovation at all. People are starting to wise up...stocks are down after the keynote today. I think this will be their lowest year of sales yet.
@fle_bre Seems like mostly marketing fluff from Apple lately. I want to see some real innovation or breakthrough...
@fle_bre @rdbrdd Getting an ECG reading out of a watch is pretty innovative in my opinion. But maybe that's just me.
@fle_bre There hasn’t been any real groundbreaking innovation since the very first iPhone release. Different internals and body designs and that’s about it. Aside from something we might have seen in a sci-fi story, what else could anybody possibly do with a cellphone? The overall design and concept of a pc and laptop has been the same for decades. I don’t expect cellphones to be any different for quite a while.
@fle_bre @hayden_evans I haven't see the new features of the Apple watch. But that sounds pretty legit. I will have to look in to it.
@rdbrdd @hayden_evans Yeah but this whole page is about the iPhone XS
@rdbrdd @fle_bre Yeah but his comment was about Apple in general:
"Seems like mostly marketing fluff from Apple lately. I want to see some real innovation or breakthrough..."
@fle_bre @neurohacked That's pretty lazy crap to say in hindsight. If you told me right after the very first release of the iPhone (I was there for that, I remember it like it was yesterday) that the iPhone would eventually have facial biometrics to unlock your phone using a 3D infrared dot projector, I would have thought you were full of crap. And back then, that seemed like something you "might have seen in a sci-fi story". While not technologically innovative - the App Store itself changed the world. The ability to video chat on a mobile device was a pretty big game changer as well. While Siri hasn't kept pace well with its competition, the idea that you could make requests into your phone to a virtual assistant in plain english with any success at all was huge too. Don't forget TouchID as well. And how about ARKit? Seems to me like you just take the progress of technology for granted.
@fle_bre iPhone XR will yield more units sale; iPhone XS and XS Max will give them the margin 😃
Love everything about it except the size.
For a moment there I thought the iPhone X R was going to be exactly that, but it's even bigger than the X. This leaves me with the options: big > bigger or biggest.
I so badly want this new iPhone in iPhone SE size but with the introduction of the R and no word about the SE, it looks like the X is going to be the smallest option for the foreseeable future.
Has everyone noticed that there is no 3Dtouch on the Xr ? 😅
I think the improved camera is the most interesting new feature. The bokeh effects were pretty amazing in the presentation. I wonder how easy it is to get that range of bokeh effect.
"It's the most popular watch ever". I'm pretty sure the calculator watch has them beat.
