Startup Stash is a curated directory of resources and tools to help you build your startup. It includes 400 products in 40 categories, like for example: Idea Generation, Early users, Marketing, Raising Capital and Customer support. Each category consists of 10 handpicked resources and tools, all with their own detail page that displays some info about the product. I thought it would be fun to build a simple and useful site that can help you find resources and tools while building your startup. Hopefully Startup Stash will become the first thing you look at when you need a certain tool, just like an oldskool startpage! :) Would love to hear your thoughts! ** Ok, this got totally out of control! Thanks to everyone for voting and sharing Startup Stash! I tried to process all the madness by writing a blogpost, you can read it here: https://medium.com/@bramk/how-i-launched-the-2-most-upvoted-product-of-all-time-on-product-hunt-f3772fb20ad8 **

@bramk Very impressive list of resources! Anything you could tell about the curation process?
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@pieterpaul thanks Pieter! Basically I've been making lists for a very long time, these are the best things I've collected ;)
Pieter Walraven
@bramk Got it! Any other lists in the making? ;) So many startups starting with lists and newsletters these days! @rrhoover
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@rrhoover @pieterpaul I have 5 other categories lined up: * Revenue models * Pitch & Deck * Product Management * Task Management * Funding docs
Pieter Walraven
@rrhoover @bramk Dayum! The ultimate startup resource indeed. Very helpful, if only this would have been around when we set up our operations. So much time wasted on desk research, reinventing the wheel. FYI you might be able to use some of the Funding docs from cf.sg
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@rrhoover @pieterpaul thanks! Yes cf.sg is already on my list :)
Lucy Zhao
@bramk Most comprehensive startup list I've seen to date! Great stuff. Anything on the road map to split up development tools into more categories? There are lots of great resources there too!
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@lucylzhao thanks Lucy! Indeed, there are A LOT of dev tools, splitting them up would be a great idea, noted ;)
Narek Khachatryan
@bramk @rrhoover @pieterpaul I think we're all ready now for the List of Lists List :)
Nick van Breda
@rrhoover @pieterpaul @bramk Funding Docs I already made a start on Articulum.nl. Check http://bit.ly/OverInvesteringen
Elke Fleing
@bramk When will you launch these lists? * Revenue models * Pitch & Deck * Product Management * Task Management * Funding docs
Dawn Casey-Rowe
@bramk Great article on the curation process, too. Really loved it.
Sahil Gupta
Hey Pieter! If you are still curious about Curated Content, Maybe you should look at our product RefR by logging in www.RefR.io
Francisco Mendoza De La Miyar
@bramk Can't believe I just found this, this is some form of system singularity!
Sagar Shah
awesome! All in one kinda tool!
Tim Gouw
Great collection and resources! Some are well known usual suspects but look out for the diamonds in the rough. If @bramk says it rocks, he's right.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@punttim thanks tim!
Ross Currie
@punttim @bramk Agree about these being some of the usual suspects. What would be cool would be to see like the "hidden secrets" at the top, with the more general stuff under. Or some other way to distinguish between the generic stuff and the "Hey, you really need to know about this"
Ross Currie
I'd suggest Namesilo for your domain collection. Free domain privacy for life. I don't like the idea that I have to pay extra to hide my home address on other registrars - gets expensive when you juggle 20+ domains.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@rossdcurrie Noted! ;)
Ross@GoLocalApps
@rossdcurrie google domains does this as well. $12 a year and includes privacy.
Ross Currie
@golocalapps Cool, didn't know that. Should definitely be on the list
Ross Currie
@golocalapps Should probably add - "Available to US residents only". That's a bit stupid.
Ross@GoLocalApps
@rossdcurrie I didn't even look at that. We've got something like 120 domains, most at godaddy, but a few I do on google for the free privacy. Granted why would I be embarrassed that I own a domain like republicanssaythecraziestthings.com, but still.
Ross Currie
@golocalapps Yeah I had a legitimate concern recently where a issue covered by some of the domains I own was getting a LOT of negative press. We're talking protests and riots and the last thing I wanted was some crazy Internet person linking my domain to that issue and then showing up on my doorstep. I moved all of my domains over to Namesilo... and pretty happy with it. I don't get all the spammy godaddy emails anymore.

Cool collection

@chandureddivari thanks!
Ryan Gum
Congrats on finally launching Bram, no doubt you painstakingly curated this yourself. Looks awesome :) Is this going to be updated periodically, or expanded, or where do you plan on taking it?
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@ryangum Thanks Ryan! Yeah, this took me a while to get together ;) I've been collecting and making lists for a very long time, so that's kinda where the idea came from. I love discovering new tools and resources (also why I <3 Product Hunt) so the first step was to bundle them, thinking about updating it from time to time, so you can somewhat see it as a blog ;)
Jad Limcaco
Nice concept Bram. Would love to see this grid in alphabetical order. Currently, they are all in the orange boxes and I get lost trying to look for something. Maybe if there was some visual way to represent each category (Different background / color) Possibly even have the top 3 in each category on the homepage, and you can click for more under each category? Just an idea.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@jadlimcaco Thanks Jad! So I had them ordered alphabetically at first, but now they're in the order that (kinda) represents the process from getting an idea to creating a startup. The products in each category are not ranked in any way, it's up to you to decide which resource or tool fits the stage your startup is in right now.
Michael John McClain
@bramk Category first. Alphabetically within category. One list. Separate categories.
Vinish Garg
Awesome. The way startups are mushrooming, seems ironical that we see all kinds of facilitators and directions pouring in as a fuel.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@vingar thanks Vinish!
Alex Ciobanu
it would be helpful to show the tag (price/free) and ultimately build collection around pricing, as it is very important for startups;)
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@alexeiciobanu noted! :)
Paresh Patel
@alexeiciobanu Yes this would be very helpful.
Yvo Schaap
@bramk wanna share some of your future features/plans?
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@yvoschaap It's really an MVP for now, collecting feedback etc :) But there are some categories I want to add in the future: * Revenue models * Pitch & Deck * Product Management * Task Management * Funding docs
Kyle Taylor
This. is. awesome. As a Startup Weekend facilitator and general startup community guy, this is an amazing list to answer pretty much any question starting with, "Where can I..."
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@kyletaylored YES, this is exactly the purpose of why I made this. I've had similar responses from universities to show it to their students and investors showing this to their portfolio, thanks Kyle!
Liam F. Tjoa
Great product Bram!
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@liamtjoa thanks Liam!
Robert van Hoesel
Awesome, already posted links to the website 3 times today as an answer. I would make the add resource link more prominent though, maybe also in specific categories.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@robertvhoesel thanks Robert! Getting tons of emails already haha
Paolo Perazzo
@bramk I agree with @robertvhoesel. I had to look for it and scroll to find the submit option. I'm sure by being on top of PH you will get tons of emails in the days :), but maybe this will help in the future. Another idea might be upvoting/likes on your proposed list so you can keep it short (very important :) and quickly eliminate the "losers" for new names. One thing I'd really change is to have the link to the website accessible directly in the list vs. having to open a new page with almost the same information. It's ok if I want more info, but accessing the site quickly is more important I think (or at least give me the option): now it takes 3 clicks from start to site. Excellent selection btw and of course thanks a lot for putting this together. It's great.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@robertvhoesel @sivola thanks for the feedback! noted your idea about putting the links on the category page :)
Emiel Janson
Love the name.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@emieljanson thanks Emiel!
Fred Rivett
Like it Bram. As someone who's main learning style is visual one tweak I'd look to make is to add images for each category. If your plan is to stay with the red block grid style, then maybe on hover show a supporting image that backs up the text. No biggie at all and I can understand why you've not done that yet, but it helps us visual learners with easy browsing ;) Oozled.com is a good example of this. Another minor one, are the resources listed in order of quality? Is something at the top more highly recommended than at the bottom? Would be intrigued to see some form of obvious ranking, whether it be by you or the community (upvotes/recommend button?)
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@fredrivett thanks Fred! I'm thinking about a supporting image for the squares, love the way oozled does this. For now it's really an MVP, the products in a category are not ranked in any way, it's up to you to decide which one is best for the phase your startup is in right now :) Maybe with another layout of the category page this can be more clear. As said before, maybe it's best to see it as somewhat of a blog where I curate the content, with a focus on discovery, not on reviews or something like that.
Fred Rivett
@bramk Sure thing! Totally appreciate the MVP nature, it's already a valuable resource, good job on getting it out there.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@fredrivett cheers!
Rob Williger
Just spent a few minutes on here, quite the list great job. I am sure I will get list here for a bit
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@robertwilliger thanks Robert!
Steve Benjamins
Awesome. Do you have affiliate programs programs setup? (Just curious, to me it wouldn't effect the "integrity" of the lists of you did).
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@stevebenjamins thanks Steve! So for now this is really an MVP, have thought about affiliate links but haven't implemented it.
Daniel Kempe
Also for Ideation, add Backa.co.
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)
Maker
@danielkempe thanks Daniel! Can you add it here? https://startupstash.typeform.com/to/CJ8kSU getting tons of emails haha
Peter van Sabben
Amazing list! Really well done!!!
Bram Kanstein (@bramk)

@sabben thanks Peter!
